Get to know Healthcare Center Administrator,
Clarence Boykin is the Healthcare Center Administrator at Wittenberg Village.
Prior to joining the leadership team at Wittenberg Village, Clarence's background included work as a Forensic Scientist through both the Chicago Police and Illinois State Police Departments.
Pursuing interests in healthcare and options for seniors, Clarence completed an Administrator-In-Training (AIT) program in the state of Illinois and, later, obtained licensure in both the state of Illinois and Indiana. In 2006, he became a Registered Preceptor in the state of Indiana and successfully mentored four AITs who obtained their Administrator licenses.
Clarence's continuing education has included completing an Administrative Residency through the University of Chicago Hospital Systems in Chicago, Illinois and an Administrative Fellowship through St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama with a Minor in Chemistry, as well as a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management from Governors State University in University Park, Illinois. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Over the last 18 years of his career, Clarence has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Illinois and Indiana. He has been responsible for excellent resident care at varying levels of short-term and residential nursing settings.
At Wittenberg Village, Clarence leads operations within the Healthcare Center assists with planning and care within Independent Living and Assisted Living.
